The students here at Alaska Native Cultural Charter School were so excited to finally get snow and be able to use our snowshoes! They have now learned how to put their snowshoes on after some initial problems with getting them tight enough. Students were amazed at how much easier it was for them to walk across the playground through the deep snow using Tubbs snowshoes instead of just their boots. They were racing in the snowshoes and just enjoying the snow. The snowshoes have added excitement into their outdoor activities. Some students even borrowed snowshoes to use over the weekend on the large trail system in Anchorage. These snowshoes have showed many students a fun new way to get outside in the winter time here is Alaska and we will continue to find new ways to use them in our snow!
