Michelle, Day Hiking Ambassador
Tonight we kicked off our winter holidays by snowshoeing under the stars. It doesn’t always happen, a sky full of stars but due to the blue sky and sunshine we had today, I knew tonight would be the perfect night for it. And it was.
We loaded up our Journey snowshoes and headed to the trailhead for one of my favourite local hikes, Eagle’s Rest. Located in Calabogie, Ontario this beautiful hike can be enjoyed during any season. For some reason winter is my favourite. Maybe it’s because there are no mosquitoes or because everything looks so clean. Regardless, it’s beautiful.
While we were snowshoeing we couldn’t stop admiring the snow. I don’t know what I enjoyed more, the glistening snow or the sparkling sky.
Since the days are short and the nights are much longer, now is the perfect time to get out and snowshoe under the stars.
