Romp to Stomp – Beyond the Event

Jan, Day Hiking Ambassador

Romp to Stomp is more than Tubbs Snowshoes’ signature fundraising event for breast cancer. It’s about relationships. Connections with our mothers, daughters, sisters, brothers … family and friends and those you don’t know, but feel akin to. This event is an opportunity to gather, create memories and celebrate life, survival and remember those that lost their fight.

It’s a pink party Friday, where the anticipation is evident in everyone’s smile and the room is filled with laughter.

On race morning, costumed teams gather at the start line and get ready to Stomp!

The energy is palpable and there is a sense of unity that empowers and uplifts those attending to feel supported and strong.

This year, at Colorado Stomp in Frisco, the day was filled with pristine blue sky, sunshine, and a sea of pink on the perfectly groomed snowy trail.

The event has become personal and close to my heart, as my sister is approaching her 2-year survivorship. Her crossing the finish line is symbolic to her success, in the fight against breast cancer.
